Meet Our Team

Chairperson Barsha Rajbhandari

Chairperson Barsha Rajbhandari comes with over 15 years of experience in financial management. Dedicated towards the development sector both nationally and internationally across the Asia Region, Ms. Rajbhandari holds a Masters degree in Business Studies and is currently working towards her ACCA accreditation. At Kalpabrikshya Holdings, Ms. Rajbhandari leads a project on administrative and system development for start-ups, which aims to support clients for idea generation, idea screening and strategic planning for businesses and business operations. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Milan Sapkota

Milan Sapkota is the agribusiness sector expert with a specialization in seeds at Kalpabrikshya Holdings. Mr. Sapkota holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) as well as a Master’s degree in Agriculture Science from Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN). Currently working as the Chairperson of Sathi Seed Company Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Sapkota is very down-to-earth (pun intended). Now with almost a decade’s worth of experience under his wing, Mr. Sapkota has been engaged in a variety of work, starting as a consultant for five major seed companies and feed mills, and has been involved in wheat and mung bean seed crop research and development in the past. Mr. Sapkota began his journey as a technical representative, and has since grown to serve as the Chief Operating Officer for GATE Nepal (Seed Company). He has also supported in running different USAID-funded agriculture projects, such as KISAN I, KISAN II, CSISA and NSAF.

Shresha Karmacharya

Shresha Karmacharya is an early-career development professional with a lifelong interest in environmental and economic sustainability. Having lived and worked in countries across the world like Nepal, USA, Germany and Myanmar, Ms. Karmacharya comes with a range of international experiences in communications, policy advocacy, development, as well as project and programme management. At present, she is an MBA candidate at the University of Rochester with concentrations in consulting and marketing. When she is not occupied with school or work, she enjoys photography and baking, although she is a rookie in both domains

Dr. Shreedhar Khanal

Dr. Shreedhar Khanal is a pediatrician and the Kalpabrikshya team’s health sector expert. With an MBBS from Kathmandu Medical College, and an MD from NAMS, Dr. Khanal is currently working as the Head of Department in the pediatric unit of Rapti Life Care Hospital in Tulispur, Dang. Alongside saving lives, Dr. Khanal also serves as the Chief of Astitwa Foundation Nepal, an organization dedicated towards uplifting the status of women in the country.

CA Rishi Ram Pokhrel

Mr. Pokhrel is a Chartered Accountant qualified from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN). He has accomplished Masters in Business Studies and currently a student of Political Science, Law and Counselling Psychology. He has more than a decade of professional experience in accounting, auditing and taxation on Banking, Manufacturing, Development, Hotels and Tourism sectors. He loves to read books, write articles, trek and interact with people.
